    • About Department

      Civil Engineering is the oldest branch of engineering. Earlier it dealt with shelter but over the centuries also developed to provide services such as road, water supply, bridges, dams, structure for entertainment, and so on.

      In-fact measure of civilization largely dependent upon the proficiency and skill they developed in civil engineering. Civilizations are remembered for the monumental structures they built such as Pyramid, Temple, Stupa, Pagoda, which required good knowledge of civil engineering. Tajmahal is a shining example of this.A good civil engineer should have a theoretical base with a good practical knowledge so that he can use this information for the benefit of project, he is working for. Civil Engineering virtually touches all facets of our life. Over the years, many specializations have developed which are catering to the special needs of the projects such as geotechnical engineering , public health engineering., hydraulics, structure, highway engineering, bridge engineering, earthquake engineering, construction planning & management, environmental engineering, Irrigation engineering , just to cite a few. As complexities involved in the projects are growing so narrower fields of specialization are developing. Lot of softwares are being used for analysis,design and drafting of civil engineering structures. The country is undergoing massive expansion of infra-structure , creating thousands of job opportunity for civil engineers.

      Realizing the growing need for civil engineers, civil engineering department was established two years ago. The department is having well qualified and experienced faculty for teaching diverse subjects of civil engineering. Department will award BE (Civil) to the aspiring students. The yearly intake is 180. We have well- equipped labs such as Basic Civil Engineering & Engineering Mechanics Lab, Construction material testing lab, Surveying Lab, Fluid Mechanics Lab, Strength of material lab, Engineering Geology Lab just to cite a few.

    • PEO1. Graduates will become established professional in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and related fields with sound ethical values.

      PEO2. Graduates will demonstrate all necessary engineering and scientific competence to become an entrepreneur in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and allied field considering social and environmental issues.

      PEO3. Graduates will posses solid foundation in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering to be applied in their higher studies and research.

    • PSO 1: Graduates will show ability to analyze, design, and implement electrical machines, power electronics, instrumentation, control systems for power system.
      PSO 2: Graduates will show ability to apply appropriate techniques and modern engineering hardware and software tools in power systems and power electronics in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

      PSO 3: Graduates will show ability to comprehend technological advancements and the impact of electrical engineering solutions in societal and environmental context.

    • Workshop on Foundation Analysis

      Two days national workshop on Foundation Analysis was conducted by Dept. of CE at TIT-Advance under the guidance of Innovation cell UMIC IIT Bombay.

      Two day’s workshop & hand on practice were conducted doing. Students had learnt technical concept involved in Structural Engineering & Foundation Analysis learn interpretation of Structural Engineering and soil investigation data for design of soil foundation.

      Workshop on Bridge Design:-

      Two days workshop & hand on practice were conducted doing. Students had learnt the concept of bridge designing, modeling& their failure aspects. Students were also facilated with equipment and materials under the guidance of expert from innovation cell UMIC IIT Bombay

      Construction site visit at Smart City project New market Bhopal –

      One day site visit is conducted at Smart City project New market Bhopal. Construction of 2BHK &3BHK flats

      The purpose of the visit is to give practical knowledge of various construction activities of residential building project of police housing board. At site student get exposure of various construction activities like, slab concreting, R/F Binding & Checking as per drawing finishing activities etc. They also learnt basic site management and planning of activities.

      Geological site visit at Bhojpur

      One day technical visit was conducted for 2nd& 3rd year students on geological survey at Bhojpur. The purpose of visit is to enhance the knowledge about geological structures, types of rocks available in the vicinity of Bhopal zone.

      Constration site visit at Police housing colony bhadbhada

      The purpose of the visit is to give practical knowledge of various construction activities of residential building project of police housing board.       SURVEY LAB:

      The following equipments are available to conduct practical pertaining to theory:

      This laboratory houses advanced electronic instruments such as total station, electronic theodolite and auto level. This caters to the academic requirement of semester V. These modern equipment are being increasingly used in the survey of road and industry layout.

      This laboratory houses various equipment for testing construction material such as concrete, cement, sand, aggregate etc. This testing ensures that monitoring of construction quality. Various equipment available are:

      GEOTECHNICAL ENGG. LAB :

      Students perform practical for understanding engineering behaviour of various types of soil which is essentially required for the design of foundation. The following equipment are available :

      3. Liquid limit apparatus
      4. Plastic limit apparatus

      ENGG. GEOLOGY LABORATORY :

      Knowledge of geology is a must for civil engineers. As such this lab has been developed. The laboratory houses geology map of India/MP, 3 D chart, rocks, minerals, hardness box. The charts depict sea waves, glaciers, rift valley, ground water, folds, faults, volcanoes, action of wind. The notable rock samples are: :

      3. Sand stone
      4. Slate
